Palais Shazam sits inside the old walls of Fes, a few minutes' walk from the souks. Close the door behind you and the medina goes quiet: carved plaster, zellige tiles and a courtyard made for slow mornings.
We have 18 rooms, a pool, a kitchen that cooks the dishes Fes is known for, and a small team who know the city well. Stay a night or a week, and we'll help you see the medina the way locals do.
Our rooms
18 rooms, each finished by hand in Moroccan plaster, wood and tile. Choose a double room with mountain views, or a triple or quadruple room for families and friends. Breakfast, pool access and the city tax are included.
Restaurant
Breakfast is served every morning, and our kitchen cooks Fassi classics through the day: slow-cooked tagines, couscous and pastilla, made the way they are in Fes homes, with produce from the market a few streets away.
Swimming pool
After a morning in the souks, come back to the pool. Swim, read on a lounger, or order mint tea and do nothing at all. Pool access is included in every stay.
Spa and hammam
The Moroccan hammam is an ancestral wellness ritual, passed down through generations. Heat and steam open the pores, black soap and a kessa glove scrub cleanse the skin, and a rhassoul clay wrap leaves it soft. Hammam from €25, massages from €30, sauna from €15.

How many rooms does Palais Shazam have?
Palais Shazam has 18 rooms. The booking page shows seven of them, in four types: two Comfort Triple Rooms, one Comfort Quadruple Room, one Comfort Triple Room with Mountain View and three Double Rooms with Mountain View. They sleep three to five guests. Prices start at €65 a night.
What is included in the room price?
The nightly price includes the room, breakfast, access to the swimming pool and the local city tax. Airport shuttle, massage and a romantic package are available on request.
Does the riad have a swimming pool?
Yes. Palais Shazam has a swimming pool in its courtyard, and pool access is included in every stay.
Does Palais Shazam have a hammam and spa?
Yes. The spa offers a traditional Fassi hammam from €25, a Royal hammam with Aker Fassi clay and argan oil for €50, relaxing, tonic and four-hand massages from €30, and a sauna from €15. Message us on WhatsApp to book a treatment; sauna sessions need at least two hours' notice.
How do I book a room?
Choose your dates on the booking page, compare the rooms with prices in euros, US dollars, pounds, Australian dollars or Moroccan dirhams, then tap Request on WhatsApp. The message is already written with the room, dates and guests. We confirm availability and the final price. You can also email palaisshazam@gmail.com. There is no online payment.
Can I host a wedding or event at Palais Shazam?
Yes. We host weddings, family celebrations and company retreats, and take care of menus, music and decoration. Message us on WhatsApp with the type of event, the date and the number of guests.
